Perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) is the elastomeric form of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) which is a popular material for electrical insulation, heavy equipment, industrial piping, medical, semiconductor, food manufacturing and packaging, and environments where heavy and harsh chemicals are used. FFKM gains its elasticity due to its fluorinated backbone and higher fluorine content over FKM. It is the most chemically resistant elastomer available and can resist extremely high temperatures. FFKM is highly resistant to steam, various solvents, ozone, and weathering.
