High-cis Polybutadiene Rubber (HBR) is a synthethic rubber with cis content over 96%. This high cis content resulting in higher wear resistant, resistive elasticity, aging resistance, and water resistance. It also has a very low glass temperature (Tg) of 100°C. It is the most widely used synthetic rubber along with SBR.
High-cis Polybutadiene Rubber is manufactured by solution-polymerizing 1,3 butadiene with Ziegler-Natta catalyst.
High-cis Polybutadiene Rubber can be used for producing tires, footwears, golf balls, belts, rubber hoses, and other rubber products.
